Director, Bookkeeper, BAS Agent.
As the founder of KBS, I ensure I have a hand in all aspects of the business and work with all of our clients whether it be on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly basis.
I’ve worked in admin/bookkeeping my entire career (over 18 years) and still love it! Having completed a Certificate III in office Administration straight out of school and then later my Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, I went on to become a certified BAS Agent. I started KBS in 2008 after noticing a real need in our regional area for someone with my skill set who could offer genuine service and advice at a reasonable price. Having lived in Dalby all my life I am passionate about our community and seeing our local businesses succeed. Running my own business comes with challenges but being able to offer services that reduce the stress on our clients is so rewarding!
As well as doing a job I love, I’m also lucky enough to be a mum of two beautiful girls and wife to my high school sweetheart. We have a busy household, with my husband also running a small business and our girls being heavily involved in school and dance. We take every opportunity we can to get away in our camper trailer to relax & enjoy the great outdoors with our family and friends.
With over 15 years of experience working in various administration, accounts and bookkeeping roles Peta is a real asset to our team. She was born and raised in Dalby and, after living away for 14 years, returned home to work as an office manager before accepting the offer to join the KBS team. Her training in bookkeeping took place in a one on one environment which has afforded her a real eye for detail. Peta has been working remotely with select clients, though is now excited to be stepping up her role, going on site, seeing new faces and meeting new clients.
Peta enjoys gardening and reading, however admits that as a wife and mum of five, her spare time is usually happily taken up looking after her busy family. As a self confessed 'numbers girl', Peta loves her job and the satisfaction that comes with helping keep her clients on track.
Prior to starting with KBS & becoming a stay at home mum, Estelle had worked in the local newsagency for 10 yrs & was looking for a change. When offered work with KBS in 2013 Estelle jumped at the chance to get back into the workforce while still being able to care for her two boys. Estelle has a handful of remote clients and also works onsite with some of our weekly & monthly clients. Her role covers everything in the bookkeeping process from data entry to having the file ready for the BAS to be prepared.
Part way through her Cert IV in Bookkeeping and being the wife of a FIFO husband means organisation and time management are key in Estelle’s life and this is a skill she able to apply to her to work life as well. The thing she loves most about her job is interacting with her clients and the satisfaction that comes when everything is neat, tidy and in order. In her down time Estelle enjoys reading and camping with family and friends.
Growing up in Dalby, Sherry moved to Brisbane and worked in various fields until she found her niche as a Client/Campaign Manager in the marketing industry. After starting a family, the demands of her career were no longer feasible and in 2013 KBS offered a unique opportunity to make use of her skills while working from home with her children. Five years later, Sherry is a valued member of the team, looking after KBS’s day to day administration, handling data entry for select files and taking care of our clients who are looking at setting up websites or new promotional material. Working from home in her own time, ensuring KBS runs smoothly and getting to utilise her creative side are the things Sherry loves most about her job.
Still very much tied to her Dalby roots, Sherry can often be found around town attending local events and visiting family. When she's not working, Sherry and her husband enjoy taking their three children camping, traveling remotely and exploring on the roads less traveled.
